Stephen Hawking: the big goal theory

“Next time someone complains that you have made a mistake, tell him that may be a good thing. Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist.”

English theoretical physicist, scientist Stephen William Hawking

Stephen Hawking became an outstanding scientist with a global reputation, despite a serious illness. A human legend has popularized science throughout his life. Hawking owed his greatest fame to his scientific work. He studied, wrote, researched, gave lectures, did not stop for a minute, considering time the most valuable resource.

Achievements of Stephen Hawking:

  • He combined the theory of gravitation and relativity of Albert Einstein with quantum mechanics.
  • He became the author of the theory of black holes and made many discoveries.
  • Thanks to his work, scientific experiments have become understandable to ordinary people who have nothing to do with research.
  • His books became bestsellers, and famous musicians used Hawking’s digital voice in their musical compositions.

Errors and doubts

No one can be right all the time. On the way to great discoveries and victories, defeats occur. The world famous scientist is no exception.

Like any person involved in science, Stephen made errors. Sometimes he made bets and lost them. Once, a scientist had a bet with John Preskill, who was sure of his own rightness and was able to prove that black holes did not completely destroy information in the universe. Hawking had to admit that black holes kept information about past.

Yet mistakes and doubts did not stop the famous physicist, he continued to work with great enthusiasm. His integrity and courage in many scientific matters gave rise to criticism and misunderstanding, but that fact didn’t make his great ideas less significant!

Obsession with science

Hawking enjoyed what he did. He worked every day, despite a very serious illness. When Stephen was 21 years old, the doctors said that he had only two or three years left to live. But disappointing forecasts did not diminish the desire to learn new things and make scientific discoveries. Moreover, he proved doctors wrong, as the astrophysicist lived till 76 years.

Despite the fact that at the end of his life, Stephen was completely paralyzed, and he even lost the ability to speak, he engaged in public presentations, talked with the audience and surprised others with his ability to create. By using a speech synthesizer, equipping a wheelchair with a computer, he showed tremendous willpower and sought to devote every minute of his life to work:

“I don’t have much positive to say about motor neuron disease. But it taught me not to pity myself, because others were worse off and to get on with what I still could do.”

Zest for life

Small failures and unresolved problems often stop us, although they are so insignificant on the scale of the Universe.

Stephen Hawking traveled the world and led an active lifestyle, he was interested in art and politics, he experienced a state of weightlessness numerous times.

In the photo: the goal of the great astrophysicist Stephen Hawking was a complete understanding of the Universe.

Being a role model, he continued to motivate other people and loved to repeat that thanks to technology, human capabilities were unlimited.

Your goal is your Universe

Three rules of Stephen Hawking:

  • “First, look up at the stars and not down at your feet.
  • Second, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose, and life is empty without them.
  • Third, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don’t throw it away.”

Perhaps these rules will help you take the steps needed for the fulfillment of your desires. Realize exactly what you want to achieve and clearly formulate your goal. This can be done using a special tool of the GIG-OS platform.

By answering a few questions of GoalSet Master, you will assess the risks and opportunities on the way to the intended result. You will understand what kind of people are able to help you and identify the resources required to complete the task.

With GoalSet Master, you will calculate the time to achieve the goal and draw up a plan to move towards the result with confidence.
