Having succumbed to the hype of the crowd, you have also acquired a fashionable novelty, even though your previous device has been working properly and can still serve you well. Your argument: “Everyone needs this, and so do I!”
These are the patterns of wrong goals. Society imposes patterns of behavior, and we accept other people’s aspirations as our own.
3 signs of a wrong goal
- Laziness. If you postpone actions that should lead to the result, you are on the wrong track. Idleness is a sign of demotivation. Subconsciously, you do not want to do what doesn’t feel right to you.
- Lack of enthusiasm. You do not enjoy your work and vent your frustrations on others. The true goal always instills optimism, even if obstacles impede its achievement.
- Excuses. You promise yourself: “I’ll start it on Monday, there are more important things that I need to do today.” If the goal is real, you will not look for excuses to move towards it.
What brings you joy?
To realize a true goal, ask yourself: “What am I keen on? What will make my life joyful and happy?”
